About Me

Hi, I’m Ben Hur, a game designer, coder, and creator currently studying at UC San Diego. I’m majoring in ICAM (Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts), which means I can blend creative expression with technical skill in everything from visual storytelling to interactive digital worlds.
I am passionate about game design and love building immersive experiences that combine narrative, exploration, and mechanics. Outside game development, I always experiment with coding projects, visual art, and sound design. Whether designing alien landscapes or scripting complex gameplay systems, I enjoy creating work that challenges how we experience digital space.

My Path to This Project

I've always been drawn to storytelling in interactive forms. Video games offer a unique way to blend narrative, design, and technology, allowing players to experience a story rather than observe it actively. My interest in the field grew from early experiences with atmospheric, narrative-driven games like Journey and Resident Evil, which showed me how minimal interaction can still create deep emotional engagement. That realization inspired me to pursue game development academically and created The Explorer: Alien Frontiers for my senior project.
